1. Introduction to Aromatherapy for Beginners

 

An opportunity for you and your friends to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy taught safely, in a fun and relaxed environment. Stressful lifestyles and the higher cost of living is putting additional strains on everyone. Why not try aromatherapy to help you to relax?

This is a 4 hour workshop aimed at people with no aromatherapy experience but who would like to learn about the benefits that aromatherapy can provide. Groups are small (Maximum 4).

 

Aims of the Course:

To provide a safe environment and introduction to a small selection of popular and useful essential oils together with ways they can be used safely in the home.

To look at contraindications and when you shouldn't use aromatherapy.

To demonstrate how to blend and give the opportunity for participants to select some essential oils and blend them for themselves in a suitable base/carrier oil or cream. Guidance from an experienced degree qualified aromatherapist who is a registered IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) tutor of aromatherapy and  Approved Continuing Professional Development (IFPA & CThA - Complementary Therapists Association) training provider for qualified aromatherapists.

Workshop notes on

Essential oils

Blending, dilution and methods of application

Safety

Contraindications and Special Considerations

Where to buy good quality essential oils, carrier oils and creams

Choice of product for you to make and take home.

Refreshments

Help and advice after the course

2. Introduction to Massage for Beginners


To help you relax and unwind after a stressful day, a gentle massage might be just what you need!

An opportunity for you and your friends or partner to learn the benefits of a safe back massage (or if you prefer hand and foot or massage) in a relaxed environment. This is a 4 hour workshop aimed at people with no massage experience but who would like to learn about the benefits that massage can provide. Groups are small (Maximum 4).

 

Aims of the Course:

To provide a safe environment and introduction to a simple massage routine.

To demonstrate and guide you through the techniques and movements to deliver a safe, gentle and relaxing massage.

To look at contraindications for massage (when it is not advisable to massage someone) and the alternatives you can use to help them relax.

 

You will receive:

A simple massage routine

Different mediums for massage (carrier oils, waxes, creams)

Safety

Contraindications and Special Considerations

Where to buy good quality carrier oils and creams

Choice of massage product for you to make to take home.

3. Introduction to Indian Head Massage for Beginners


Another wonderful therapy to help you relax and unwind after a stressful day!

An opportunity for you and your friends or partner to learn the benefits of a short Indian Head Massage routine in a relaxed and safe environment. Oils will not be used on the hair. This is a 4 hour workshop aimed at people with no experience of Indian Head Massage but who would like to learn about the benefits this therapy can provide. Groups are small (Maximum 4).

 

Aims of the Course:

To provide a safe environment and introduction to a simple Indian Head Massage routine.

To demonstrate and guide you through the techniques and movements to deliver a safe, gentle and relaxing Indian Head Massage.

To look at contraindications for Indian Head massage (when it is not advisable to massage someone) and the alternatives you can use to help them relax.
